President Obama to Support Gaza in Humanitarian effort with over $20 Million Dollars
Saturday, January 31, 2009
As expected, the United States will support the humanitarian effort in Gaza to help get the region cleaned up. Announced on Friday, President Obama announced emergency aid that will be sent to the Strip. The President authorized sending 20 million dollars to Gaza.
This is all well and good, but I would hope that the United States is not just the only country contributing to the war torn region in Gaza. I find if very difficult to understand how this money is readily available, when there is so much money being made available from the President's Economic Plan and the country is deep in debt. If the United States continues to play liberator for the entire world, and tries to do it alone, then I really can see no end in sight when it comes to the National Dept.
So far, President Obama plan seems to be one of mass spending, and unfortunately, I don't see any real short term alternative to get a grasp on the failing economy. Unfortunately, you haven't heard much on an action plan return the money.
