Meeting in Washington on Obama's Economic Stimulas Plan Proves to be Very Promising
Monday, January 5, 2009
If today was a sign of the ability of Barack Obama to tackle the economic situation, then today he was just brilliant. As reported by CNN, both Republicans and Democrats came just short of applauding Obama on his package of tax cuts and proposals for spending. He met with the Democratic Speaker of the House - Nancy Pelosi and majority leader of the Senate - Harry Reid. Also at this meeting were Senate minority leader Republican Mitch McConnell, and House minority leader Republican John Boehner. The reaction from the Republicans were very good, as McConnell said that he could feel and atmosphere of bipartisanism between both sides. What has happened today may begin a rally in the stock market because of Obama's proposed 775 Billion Economic Stimulus Plan. Also view the MSNBC video directly below supporting this story.
