A Historic Meeting between Bush, Obama and former living Presidents
Wednesday, January 7, 2009
Today, another historic event occurred in Washington. President Bush and Barack Obama met before a so called power meeting between past former Presidents. The second meeting that took place also included former H W Bush, Bill Clinton, and Jimmy Carter. They had a luncheon that lasted for about an hour. This meeting was suggested by the incoming President Barack Obama in which President Bush happily agreed. Now Barack continues to show more bi-partisanship as he was reaching out to Presidents from both the Democratic and Republican sides. President-Elect Obama is pulling out all the stops in an attempt to win over the trust of the American people, along with the members of Congress, along with looking at his future position as the 44th President of the United States from a multiple of angles. He is accepting advice from people of all backgrounds, especially that of the former Presidents.
