GOP Hopeful Candidates to Run against Obama in 2012
Saturday, January 22, 2011
Two years for now, the next President of the United States will emerge, or will he not. President Obama, the present and 44th President of the United States, is not as popular as he was just two years ago, but what President would be able to stay popular in these tough times. A President to stay popular today, he definitely needs not to be a GOP target. But every incumbent President would not be popular with the opposite side. At the present time, President Bill Clinton is actually more popular than President Obama. Is this a mistake? Absolutely not. But it is interesting to note that they both support the exact same policies and are almost mirror images of each other regarding just about everything. Everything a left wing President does, is reflected on right-wing radio. Clinton is not the target now for the conservatives, but of course President Obama is. One thing to note, is that Barack Obama's White House is stocked with Clinton era veterans and loyalists. Still, regardless of how popular President Obama is or will be in 2012, he will have a formidable opponent list that want to take his job, from as hopeful and qualified as Mitt Romney, all the way down to Mr. Big Bucks himself, Donald Trump.
Here is the list of potential candidates, and so far, the one person who has stated publicly to run for President against Barack Obama is Newt Gengrich, ex-House Republican Speaker. Like Obama, he is an excellent speaker, something that has been drastically needed by a Republican President of the past. Newt Gengrich is very highly supported by the GOP Republican base, and is supposed to have Presidential GOP experience. But can he be as likable as Mitt Romney or Mike Huckabee. In the coming months, we will know who may be running against Barack Obama, but one thing is for sure. Anyone in the following list that decides to run in 2012 will become enemies of each other, in the cut-throat battle to become the nominee for the GOP party.
