A Third Commerce Secretary in mind - Democratic Governor Gary Locke

Barack Obama will again try to fill the office of Commerce Secretary. In mind this time is Democratic Governor Gary Locke. This is a report given by CNN today. As a Chinese-American governor, his began his first term in 1996 and was re-elected in 2000.
You may remember the first two choices of Obama for Commerce Secretary. The first choice was New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, but he resigned before his confirmation because of a corruption investigation. Then came New Hampshire Senator. Judd Gregg who was a Republican, but withdrew his nomination because of vast differences in policies. Prior service include 5 terms in the House of Representatives. He chaired the House Appropriations Committee from 1989 to 1994.
He is also active as a lawyer, in private practice with Davis Wright Tremaine in a Seattle Washington office.
