Obama sending at least 12,000 troops to Afghanistan, Fullfilling Another Campaign Promise

In an effort to make good his promise to send more troops to Afghanistan, President Obama approved on Tuesday a significant troop increase  in the country. At least 8,000 Marines from a popular marine base called Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and 4,000 troops from Fort Lewis, Washington will be scheduled to depart to Afghanistan soon.
Again, in just three weeks, President Obama has taken a commanding control of the Presidency, and up to this point, continues to sport a very high approval rating from the American public.
