ARTICLES ABOUT U.S. TORTURE BY BUSH ADMINISTRATION

Wednesday, May 13, 2009

Published by Editor James of 'OBAMA IN THE WHITE HOUSE'

The following articles are all about American torture, as practiced by the previous administration. But with the public outcry against such techniques, the present Obama administration should steer away from ANY such activities. The prior administration of George Bush claims that the use of such techniques to find out information saved many lives. But the fact is that the use of such techniques by former President Bush only highlights some of the crimes that the prior administration has committed, and should be held responisible for more American lives lost than any terrorist organization practicing in Iraq, Iran or Afghanistan combined, since Bush took Americans in a war that shouldn't have started in the first place. Instead of protecting American lives at home, he instead put American soldiers in harms way to begin his fight against terrorism.
Yes it is true that the American President had to do something to stop Al-Queda, as President Obama plans to now move troops from Iraq to Afghanistan, where U.S. intelligence shows that Al-Queda and a strong terrorist network are forming. The United States is now commited in these countries, and the people of the U.S. now believe that we must stop a war that we started, and somehow stop the senseless ending of lives by our troops.
While President Bush enjoys his freedom as he now lives in his mansion in Dallas, the troops that he essentially condemned to a war that he started, continue to fight for the cause of freedom, not of their own, but the freedom of the world. At the same time, these soldiers who belong to American families continue to die for a cause. They continue to fight for a cause to keep us safe, all who live on U.S. home soil.
The debate is on, whether or not the pictures of American torture be made public, and President Obama has ordered that the pictures not be shown because it would endanger American lives. The following stories are kind of gruesome, but at least you get an idea of the kinds of pictures that the U.S. government is covering up.

I think covering the pictures up by not making it public won't do any good either. That would be a lie. Obama's administration should avoid doing something identical with what the previous administration was famous of.
If in any case a nation should wage a war against another in whatever name (freedom etc) the least they can do is make it fair. Leave torture out of it.
