Just 37 Days Away....
One of the most expensive parties that Barack Obama will have attended in his lifetime will be the inauguration ball. Barack Obama has recently stated that they most likely will be toned down, but never-the-less, he is looking forward to them. But what are they truly celebrating?
An easy answer, the participants of the ball will be celebrating the presidential inauguration of Barack Obama. it is the official day that the President of the United States is sworn into office. The ball along with other activites are in place to honor the incoming president with formal ceremonies, including a Presidential Swearing-in Ceremony, an Inaugural Address and parade.
On January 20, 2009, on the steps of the U.S. Capital in Washington D.C. Barack Obama will take office.
The following are the words that he will state, just after Joe Biden takes a similar oath.
"I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of the President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."
