President Obama works, as the Saints and Colts play in the Super Bowl
Monday, February 8, 2010
The professional football season has come to a close as the NFC New Orleans Saints beat the Indianapolis Colts by a score of 31 to 17 in Super Bowl 44. But it wasn't all fun and games for President Obama on Super Bowl Sunday as he was grilled in an address about Health Care, the economy and national security. He defended his view on health insurance, saying that if nothing gets done, health insurance premiums would "keep on beating down families, small businesses, large businesses -- it's going to be a huge drain on the economy. We're going to have to do something about it. I think we can." The President wants to be more specific, and tackle one issue at a time, and then he believes the Congress can come in agreement to pass a health care bill. Yes, it may have been Super Bowl Sunday, and many people turned on the TV and for at least a short time, forgot about their problems to watch one of America's past time TV programs, the Super Bowl. But President Obama did not rest today, and most likely only got a chance to watch highlights of the Super Bowl later in the evening.
