Health Care Bill Complete after Health Care 'fixes' bill passes on Tuesday
Thursday, April 1, 2010
As previously stated, President Obama signed the health care 'fixes' bill on Tuesday, which signifies the finality of the bill. Unless the Republicans or the opposition can legally overturn the bill, President Obama has recorded a crucial victory, one that he desperately needed, but one that my eventually be his alkalies heal. So how could a bill that most certainly would be such a benefit for so many people, turn out to be something that could hurt him in the future? Well for one, most people do not support the bill, but now are obligated under law to accept it, as it will change peoples lives forever. It will give you benefits that you
never would have had, but at the same time give you benefits that you might not necessarily want. Conservative thinking is such that this is a free country, and you should not be forced to accept anything, especially something that is mandated by the Federal Government. Because of the passage of the Health Care Reform bill, there are several lawsuits now pending in over a dozen states which claim that it is against the law to force
someone to purchase health insurance if they do not want it. The opposition party, namely the Republicans have vowed to "repeal and replace" the health care bill. To overturn the bill would take a long and hard fight, but ultimately what would kill the bill would be a very long court battle that most likely will never happen. As time goes on, people will tend to want to leave it alone, and public support for the bill should increase. When this happens, chances are that the bill will never be overturned.
