President Obama criticized heath care haters in a speech full of light headed remarks

President Obama took jabs at the health care haters in a speech in Portland Maine on Monday April 1, 2010. Making mention of what Republicans said would happen after the health care bill was signed, he speaks of the pundits who are so critical of the health care bill.
The President said that some pundits say that the world will end since the bill was passed. They say that is is the end of freedom as we know it.
The President then compared what had happened to the world since the bill was signed just a week ago.
As the President said,
After he signed the bill, he looked around and this is what he saw...
1) He looked up at the sky to see if the asteroids were coming...
2) He looked at the ground to see if cracks had opened up in the earth but then
noted that it turned out to be a nice day.
3) Birds were still chirpin'.
4) Folks were still strollin' down the street.
5) Nobody lost their doctor.
6) Nobody had pulled the plug at granny.
7) Nobody was being dragged away and forced to join some government health care plan.
8) Pundits say that the nation is still divided on health care reform.
9) Pundits say that the pools haven't changed yet.
And the president had an answer... "Well yea, it just happened last week. It's only been a week".
Then he started talking more about the reports.. He stated if you could imagine if some of these reporters were working on a farm, you planted some seeds, they came out the next day and they looked, and then they said "Nothin's happened!!!!" "There's no crop" "We are going to starve" "Oh no" "It's a disaster"
Then the President says... "It's been a week folks."
The bottom line in his speech was "So before we find out if people like health care reform, we should wait to see what happens when we actually put it into place. Just a thought."
