How much money do you think a Governor makes in California? In Arnold Schwarzenegger's case, you might say that it's not even worth even a penny. In matter of fact, the Governor may have lost at least $200 million on what he expects that he lost, while not playing in blockbuster movies while acting as Governor. But now, Mr. bodybuilder is stepping down, now to repair what he called damage to his family. Because of his duties as Governor, he was away from his family allot, which created issues at home. So, poses the next question, how much money did he make as governor? His salary was $212,179, which gave him a monthly salary of $17,681.56. He never made so little money since beginning as an actor as he is now. The Attorney General of California and Superintendent of Public Instruction make $184,301. All other elected officials make less, but not by much. The legislators make the least at $116,208 per year, or $9,684.01 per month.
How about the U.S. President? What does President Obama make? In his first year in office, the President and his wife filed their taxes jointly, earned $2,656,902 last year. He also won the Nobel Peace Prize his first year in office, which netted him $1.5 million. Most income came from his two books, 'Dreams From My Father' and 'The Audacity of Hope. The President paid $855,323 in Federal income taxes, and $77,883 in Illinois state income taxes. The President donated to 37 charities, totaling $172,050. Now the bottom line... The President earns $400,000 per year.
