Should Rush Limbaugh Run for President?

Saturday, March 19, 2011

Just like his fellow Republicans, Rush Limbaugh seems to want to talk about things he shouldn't be concerned about, and recently he decided to talk about Michelle Obama and criticize her eating habits. Is this what the conservative listeners of his following need to listen too? It is a no-brainer that his main topic of conversation when he gets back to work on his talk show on Monday will be centered around the attack on Libya. It is also a no brainer that he will criticize President Obama's actions again. He will accuse President Obama of starting another war. But he most likely would tell you that it was OK for President Bush to start too wars, and he most likely will put the blame for the continued wars squarely in the lap of President Obama.
You would think that he would focus his talks on President Obama and his policies, but he seems to have drifted away from his main game and now attack Michelle Obama. What you won't hear him talk about is how wrong he was as he stated in the past that President Obama was a 'weak' President, and how he believed that the President could not make difficult decisions. This was the belief of the entire Republican party, claiming that President Obama was a weak person, not capable of making difficult decisions.
It is also a no brainer that President Obama did not want to initiate war actions against another country, but it is clear that President Obama and the coalition forces would not further stand by and watch Gadhafi attack and kill his own citizens. The attacks on the military installations to help balance the level of power between Gadhafi and the militants that oppose him will be more even because of the enforced no fly zone in the north. The attacks may even convince the dictator Gadhafi to give up his power and leave the country.
Will Rush Limbaugh talk about the details on why President Obama decided to strike Libya? I highly doubt it, because in his mind, that story is too boring, and further discussion against President Obama is much more interesting to him.
I must admit that I don't waste my time listening to his show, although I caught myself in the past listening to the Rush Limbaugh show and listen to his fanatical rants against Barack Obama and the Democratic Party. Only in this country can he talk so negatively against the President, just like I have the right to write this blog and talk about what I choose to talk about.
Return to read updates on this topic as I plan to listen to the Rush Limbaugh show on Monday and Tuesday to see how deep he will go to show his dissatisfaction for President Obama. In the past, he hasn't directly threatened President Obama, but he has wished that he did not succeed as President.
Now is this someone you would really like to have as your President ?

Rep. Michele Bachmann criticizes the First Lady Michelle Obama

Wednesday, February 16, 2011

Rep. Michelle Bachmann criticizes Michelle Obama
Well, now here is a news worthy story.. It's the battle of the women, not between White and Black the way you may take a racial fight, but between the 'right' going against the 'left', as Republican Michele Bachmann who happens to be a possible contender for the Presidency, squares off against the first lady, Michelle Obama. Now what in her right mind would you think she may want to feud with the Presidents wife. Ms. Bachmann was responding to a comment on the heels of Obama's recent contention that breast-feeding can play a key role in reducing childhood obesity. Here is what the first lady set to spark the outrage by Michele Bachmann...

"We also want to focus on the important touch points in a child's life. And what we're learning now is that early intervention is key. Breastfeeding. Kids who are breastfed longer have a lower tendency to be obese," Obama told a group of reporters last week, according to Politics Daily.

"Breastfeeding is a very personal choice for every woman," Kristina Schake, a spokeswoman for Obama, later said. "We are trying to make it easier for those who choose to do it."

In a quoted reaction, here is what Michele Bachmann told reporters.

"This is very consistent with where the hard left is coming from," Bachmann told Ingraham. "For them, government is the answer to every problem."

"I've given birth to five babies and I breast fed every single one of these babies," she added. "To think that government has to go out and buy my breast pump for my babies? You wanna talk about the nanny state, I think you just got a new definition."

Interesting comments by Michele Bachmann, and I'm wondering what exactly set her off, unless it was her crazy way of getting noticed before some of the Republican contenders for the White House in 2012 come forward.  She may be right in everything she says, but what gives her the idea that Michelle Obama doesn't know about what she is talking about. After all, she had a few children of her own. Her comments also have come out right after another poll was taken indicating that Sarah Palin is running at an all time low as far as a favorite for the Republican nomination for President. I've got to give her an 'A' for trying, but the news she is trying to make will already be old news by tomorrow, and if she plans to run in the Presidential campaign, then maybe she needs to focus on President Obama, and maybe think about more serious worldly issues, like the Middle East, or Guantanamo Bay, or Iraq or Afghanistan.

Ok Michele Bachmann, you have my attention. Now, how about giving me a real story that I can write about.

Michelle Obama gaining weight

Sunday, October 24, 2010

Lately, there seems to be a tizzy of criticism regarding of all things, Michelle Obama's weight.
Yes, she is the first lady and she may have gained a few pounds since the Presidential campaign a few years ago, and expects criticism from her friends and foe's. Instead of criticizing her, maybe they should try weight loss products that work on their own.
As far as a foe goes, Rush Limbaugh recently made remarks about a caller and several people have refuted his comments. One such respondent said "Michelle Obama can't help it that she's smarter, better educated, and has accomplished more in life than you -- and Limbaugh and his idiot caller. I'll wager that she's better looking, too."
"And yeah, why can't kids have the right to be fat and lazy like loser Rush? How dare anyone advocate for healthy eating! We must let food conglomerates do whatever they want!"

Further evidence below with critical opinions by readers....

"BTW, no evidence has been presented of her weight gain. As if it's relevant."

Michelle Obama Speaks about Obesity and Breast-Feeding

Friday, October 22, 2010

Michelle Obama is a lady of her word. She is very dedicated and outwardly speaks of obesity, especially in black woman. In as recently as October 2010, she spoke before the Congressional Black Caucus, First Lady Michelle Obama said childhood obesity had become a national epidemic and was particularly bad in black communities. the first lady said that another way to fight obesity was to promote breast-feeding. She noted that especially in black communities where, she said, 40% of children never receive the health benefits of breast-feeding. But even with the help, women must be educated on the subject, especially when it comes to how how to increase breast milk production. It is important that a woman who attempts to breast feed understand the proper way. As with most other things as the Obama administration is finding out, there is a right way, and there is a wrong way to do things. Sometimes things are done by trial and error, but when it comes to your child and breat feeding, it is especially important to know what you are doing.

The First Lady Hits the Stump

Wednesday, October 13, 2010

The more popular half of the White House's first couple is hitting the campaign trail.
Michelle Obama, who has largely avoided political events this midterm cycle, is slated to hold rallies and fundraisers for Democratic Senate candidates in seven states over the next two weeks, including stops in Illinois, Colorado, and Wisconsin.
Obama campaigned extensively for her husband during the 2008 presidential race, although her individual appearances were generally low-key, featuring intimate round-table events and discussions about specific policy issues like support for military families. The upcoming tour of midterm battleground states -- Illinois, Colorado, Wisconsin, New York, Washington, Connecticut, and California -- will be her most extensive foray into campaign politics for more than two years.
The first lady remains much more popular than her husband nationwide. An NBC/WSJ poll in August showed less than one in five respondents saying they have a negative view of Mrs. Obama.
She is particularly popular with women, African Americans and other core Democratic voters – constituencies that could be crucial in tight Senate races nationwide. According to the NBC/WSJ poll, 57 percent of female respondents have a positive impression of Michelle Obama, compared to just 43 percent of men. Comparatively, just 48 percent of women view Barack Obama in a positive light.
Michelle Obama also performs better than her husband now with suburban voters and retirees.
But a downside for Obama could be that her fans – not unlike 2008 Obama voters as a whole – simply aren't all that motivated to vote in November. Almost 60 percent of Michelle Obama supporters expressed relatively low interest in the midterm elections when they were surveyed in August.
Democrats are hoping that the first lady can turn those numbers around.
On Wednesday, Mrs. Obama will appear on behalf of Democratic Senate candidate Alexi Giannoulias, who is vying to win the seat that the first lady's husband occupied for four years. Giannoulias was bullish on Sunday about the energy that the first lady's upcoming appearance in her own home state could inject into the race, telling reporters that his campaign office had been flooded with calls from supporters since the news of her visit was announced.
Giannoulias trailed GOP Rep. Mark Kirk by just one point in a Suffolk University poll earlier this month. In that poll, women favored Giannoulias by about 43 percent to 36 percent, with about 12 percent undecided.
Pam Monetti, the co-president of a group called Illinois Democratic Women, said that the first lady's visit will help to elevate Giannoulias's stance on women's issues as well as economic policies that would help struggling families.
"She's a mom," said Monetti. "A lot of women voters see that she faces the same things that we face."
On Thursday, the first lady will appear in Denver, Colorado, at an event for incumbent Democrat Michael Bennet. Bennet is in a difficult race against Tea Party-backed candidate Ken Buck, who defeated establishment GOP favorite Lt. Gov. Jane Norton in the Aug. 10 primary. The incumbent Democrat himself overcame a tough primary challenge from Colorado House Speaker Andrew Romanoff.
Bennet has been consistently behind in polling since late summer, although recent automated telephone surveys have shown the race tightening slightly to about a five point margin.
A former superintendent of Denver public schools, Bennet was mostly unknown in the state when he was appointed to replace Sen. Ken Salazar – who became Obama's Secretary of the Interior – in 2009. In ads, Buck has portrayed Bennet as a "rubber stamp for his friends in Washington."
Democrats hope that Obama's appearance could serve to inject some publicity into the campaign just a few days after early voting began in the state. "Our mail-in ballots dropped today, and this starts our get out the vote effort," said Pat Waak, the chair of the Colorado Democratic Party. "Having Michelle come into a state where she's extremely popular will energize voters to get them to fill out their ballots."
Waak says that female voters in the state are particularly wary of Buck's policy proposals. "They are very concerned about health care reform, which [Buck] wants to repeal," she said. "They're looking for very specific economic policies – Buck doesn't have any."
But the presence of any national Democratic surrogate could be risky in a state where the president's approval rating among likely voters was just 39 percent in a McClatchy/Marist poll last month.
Professor Kenneth Bickers, who heads the political science department at the University of Colorado at Boulder, says that the presence of any figure associated with unpopular Washington D.C. could backfire for the Democratic candidate.
"Bennet has been trying to not nationalize the Senate race," Bickers said, noting that the appointed senator has been trying to focus on state-specific issues. "But having Michelle Obama, or the president, or any another national figure out here serves to nationalize the race. To the extent that's happening, it's helping Buck, not Bennet."

OBAMA Family Life

Sunday, January 10, 2010

When Barack Obama celebrates America's racial and cultural diversity, he speaks from a lifetime of personal experience. In The Audacity of Hope, he wrote: "As the child of a black man and a white woman, someone who was born in the racial melting pot of Hawaii, with a sister who's half-Indonesian but who's usually mistaken for Mexican or Puerto Rican, and a brother-in-law and niece of Chinese descent, with some blood relatives who resemble Margaret Thatcher and others who could pass for Bernie Mac, so that family get-togethers over Christmas take on the appearance of a UN General Assembly meeting, I've never had the option of restricting my loyalties on the basis of race, or measuring my worth on the basis of tribe."

Obama's wife, Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama, was born on January 17, 1964. Their first daughter, Malia Ann, was born on July 4, 1998, and their second daughter, Natasha, known as Sasha, was born on June 10, 2001. All three were born in Chicago and, until moving to Washington on January 5, 2009, two months after Barack Obama was elected President, they had spent almost their entire lives there. The Obamas chose to send their daughters to Sidwell Friends School, Sasha as a second-grader at the school's Bethesda, Maryland, elementary school campus and Malia as a fifth-grader at its middle school campus in Washington. The Obamas were accompanied to Washington by Michelle's mother, Marian Shields Robinson, whom they invited to live with them in the White House. Robinson is the only surviving parent of either Barack or Michelle Obama. Other close family members include Michelle Obama's brother, Craig Robinson, who is the men's basketball coach at Oregon State University and Barack Obama's half-sister Maya Soetoro Ng. Ng was born in 1970 in Indonesia, the daughter of Obama's mother and her second husband, Lolo Soetoro. She teaches school in Hawaii.

Growing up, Barack Obama's family influenced his values in ways that later shaped his political philosophy. "Empathy . . . is at the heart of my moral code . . . ," he wrote in The Audacity of Hope, "a call to stand in somebody else's shoes and see through their eyes. Like most of my values, I learned about empathy from my mother." As a result, Obama is "angry about policies that consistently favor the wealthy and powerful over average Americans, and insist[s] that government has an important role in opening up opportunity to all."

Proud Democrat that he is, however, Obama is critical of his party's reflexive liberalism. "In reaction to a war that is ill-conceived," he wrote, "we appear suspicious of all military action. In reaction to those who claim the market can cure all ills, we resist efforts to use market principles to attack pressing problems. In reaction to religious overreach, we equate tolerance with secularism." Interestingly, in The Audacity of Hope, the figures he praised most, except for Franklin D. Roosevelt, were Republican icons: Alexander Hamilton, Abraham Lincoln, and Ronald Reagan, not Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, or Bill Clinton.

Michelle Obama To Women: Do What Makes You Happy

Monday, September 28, 2009

DARLENE SUPERVILLE | 09/28/09 11:21 AM | AP

WASHINGTON — First lady Michelle Obama says women should do what makes them happy, a lesson she says she learned after realizing her two children, her husband and her physical health feed off of her good moods.

In an interview appearing in the November issue of Prevention magazine, Mrs. Obama discusses the meaning of good health, aging and her exercise, diet and beauty routines. She sat for the interview at the White House in late July.

Mrs. Obama says she learned "what not to do" from her mother, Marian Robinson, who now lives at the White House.

"She'd say being a good mother isn't all about sacrificing. It's really investing and putting yourself higher on your priority list," Mrs. Obama said. She said Robinson put her own two children first, sometimes to the detriment of herself.

"She encouraged me not to do that," Mrs. Obama said.

The first lady said there are many facets to good health – physical, internal, emotional, diet – and all are intertwined.

"Throughout my life, I've learned to make choices that make me happy and make sense for me. Even my husband is happier when I'm happy," Mrs. Obama said in her first interview with the women's health monthly. "So I have freed myself to put me on the priority list and say, yes, I can make choices that make me happy, and it will ripple and benefit my kids, my husband and my physical health."

"That's hard for women to own. We're not taught to do that," she added. "It's a lesson that I want to teach my girls."

Asked for a definition of happiness, Mrs. Obama said it's when daughters Malia, 11, and Sasha, 8, "are good and when my family is whole." She expressed relief that early in the year after moving from Chicago the girls came and told her they liked living in the White House.

"My happiness is measured against theirs. When they're in a good place, I feel really good," she said.

Mrs. Obama, who is 45 and appears on the magazine's cover, also said she has no fear about getting old.

"To me, with age, everything has gotten better," the first lady said.

She strives to be "on the cusp of being in the best shape that I can be" in, but has found she needs to work a little harder at it the older she gets. As a result, she has begun to incorporate more Pilates moves and stretching into her workouts to maintain flexibility.

Mrs. Obama also is working on balancing out her diet, which she said has "no absolute no's."

"Overall, it's good, but there are some great bakers" at the White House, she said, noting that pie is always available. "So for me, it's about setting up new boundaries. I had some challenges with that, but I'm balancing out."

The November issue of Prevention hits newsstands on Oct. 6.

THE ADMINISTRATION

President Barack Obama

Vice President Joe Biden

First Lady Michelle Obama

Dr. Jill Biden

The Cabinet

White House Staff

Executive Office of the President

When people ask Michelle Obama to describe herself, she doesn't hesitate. First and foremost, she is Malia and Sasha's mom.

But before she was a mother — or a wife, lawyer, or public servant — she was Fraser and Marian Robinson's daughter.

The Robinsons lived in a brick bungalow on the South Side of Chicago. Fraser was a pump operator for the Chicago Water Department, and despite being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at a young age, he hardly ever missed a day of work. Marian stayed home to raise Michelle and her brother, Craig, skillfully managing a busy household filled with love, laughter, and important life lessons.

A product of Chicago public schools, Michelle studied sociology and African-American studies at Princeton University. After graduating from Harvard Law School in 1988, she joined the Chicago law firm Sidley & Austin, where she later met the man who would become the love of her life.

After a few years, Michelle decided her true calling lay in encouraging people to serve their communities and their neighbors. She served as assistant commissioner of planning and development in Chicago's City Hall before becoming the founding executive director of the Chicago chapter of Public Allies, an AmeriCorps program that prepares youth for public service.

In 1996, Michelle joined the University of Chicago with a vision of bringing campus and community together. As associate dean of student services, she developed the university's first community service program, and under her leadership as vice president of community and external affairs for the University of Chicago Medical Center, volunteerism skyrocketed.

As First Lady, Michelle Obama looks forward to continuing her work on the issues close to her heart — supporting military families, helping working women balance career and family, and encouraging national service.

Michelle and Barack Obama have two daughters: Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7. Like their mother, the girls were born on the South Side of Chicago.

First Lady - Michelle Robinson Obama

Friday, April 3, 2009

From : IMAGE WORLD Blog

Best known as the wife of Presidential candidate Barack Obama, Michelle Robinson Obama is an accomplished professional with an impressive resume of her own. Outspoken, intelligent, and articulate, she can give passionate speeches on the campaign trail without benefit of any written notes. Her blunt, forthright style can sometimes result in “sound bites” which can be controversial.

Born January 17, 1964 to Frasier Robinson, a pump operator for the city of Chicago’s water plant, and Marian Robinson, who spent much of Michelle’s childhood a homemaker, Michelle grew up on Chicago’s South Side, one of the nation’s poorest urban communities. Her parents strictly limited their children’s television viewing, and Michelle and her brother Craig (now basketball coach at Brown University) were expected to take part in discussions around the family dinner table.

Excelling in school, Michelle attended Princeton University, graduating cum laude in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, and a minor in African American Studies. Her senior thesis was based on surveys of black alumni. She earned her Juris Doctorate at Harvard Law School in 1988. After law school, she spent three years at the Chicago law firm of Sidney and Austin, where in 1989 she met summer intern Barack Obama, her future husband.

Leaving the corporate law world in 1991, Michelle pursued a series of positions in public service, serving as assistant to the mayor of Chicago and as assistant commissioner of planning and development for the city of Chicago. In 1993, she became founding Executive Director of Public Allies-Chicago, a leadership training program helping young adults develop skills for future careers in the public sector.

Since 1996, she has been associated with the University of Chicago, first as associate dean of student services, and in 2005 becoming vice president for community and external affairs at the University of Chicago’s Medical Center, as well as managing the business diversity program. She has worked to bridge the gap between the University and the residents of the surrounding disadvantaged neighborhood, focusing on the opening of neighborhood medical clinics. In January 2008 she took a leave of absence to concentrate on the demands of the Presidential race of her husband.

Barack Obama and Michelle were married in October 1992, and have two young daughters, Malia and Sasha. Michelle gives credit to her mother as her role model – paying respect to their differing choices as homemaker and career professional. It is her widowed mother who cares for the Obama children while Michelle and her husband pursue their careers and now the Presidency.

Model-tall (5’11”) and stylish as well as a successful mother, wife, and professional, Michelle was named in Essence magazine in May 2006 as one of “25 of the World’s Most Inspiring Women.” She has described herself as “too impatient” for a political career of her own, but with her husband’s presidential campaign, her intelligence, wit, and passion have a national if not worldwide platform.

Parenting With Grandparents: The Michelle Obama Way

Tuesday, March 17, 2009

                                                                    New York Magazine:

Michelle MiriamOne of the most appealing things about Michelle Obama is her closeness to her mother. Some people might think it is strange or even pathological to bring your mother with you to the White House. Certainly, no one has done it since the Trumans, and no one at all seems to have done it as joyfully and naturally as the Obamas.
While many modern women have prickly or distant relations with their mothers, Michelle reportedly begged her mother to come with the family to Washington. Then she fielded out the manipulation to the most skillful and powerful manipulators, the 10-and-unders, saying, "All they have to do is look at her with sad eyes and she's done for." Mrs. Robinson responded the way any self-respecting American grandmother would: I don't want to intrude. But isn't it a sign of an extremely healthy mother-daughter relationship that she did anyway?

MICHELLE ROBINSON OBAMA'S BIOGRAPHY

Thursday, November 6, 2008

75 Days until Inauguration Day - January 20, 2009

The following report was found on www.squido.com

* MICHELLE ROBINSON OBAMA - THE EARLY YEARS

Born on January 17, 1964, Michelle Robinson was raised in a one-bedroom apartment on Chicago's South Shore.

Of note is that she shared a "bedroom" with her brother, but it wasn't much of a bedroom. It was actually the living room with a divider down the middle. Michelle's father died in 1990 two years before she married Barack, but her mother is still alive and living in the same one-bedroom apartment, protected by a burglar-proof wrought-iron door and secured windows.

After high school Michelle Robinson majored in sociology at Princeton University, graduating with cum laude honors in 1985. From there she attended Harvard where she earned her law degree in 1988, one year ahead of her husband-to-be, Barack, whom she hadn't met yet but attended the same law school.

* MICHELLE AND BARACK MEET
After graduating from Harvard, Michelle accepted a position at a downtown Chicago law firm. In 1989 she was asked to mentor a summer associate from Harvard name Barack Obama. According to reports, Barack didn't have much interest in corporate law, but did have a lot of interest in Michelle.

Apparently Michelle Robinson initially brushed off advances from Barack because they were working at same firm...and he was an intern and she higher up the law firm's foodchain as an associate. But love prevailed and they were married on October 18, 1992.

Interestingly Barack and Michelle waited almost seven years before having children. Their first daughter name Malia Ann Obama was born in 1999 with Natasha (often called "sasha") following two years later in 2001.

When asked about what made her fall in love with him she replied "for the same reason many other people respect him; his connection with people."

Even though her husband is the center of attention, Michelle has zero concerns about fidelity in their marriage. She told Ebony magazine in March 2006, "I never worry about things I can't affect, and with fidelity . . . that is between Barack and me, and if somebody can come between us, we didn't have much to begin with."

* MICHELLE'S ROBINSON OBAMA'S CAREER
Michelle's impressive resume includes: Former associate dean at the University of Chicago; a member of six boards of directors including the prestigious Chicago Council on Global Affairs, the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools and Tree House Foods; and Vice President, Community and External Affairs at the University of Chicago Hospitals. In this position she was responsible for all programs and initiatives that involve the relationships between the hospitals and the community as well as management of the hospitals' business diversity program.

* MICHELLE OBAMA'S INFLUENCES ON BARACK'S POLITICAL CAREER
Michelle's professional relationships were helpful when her husband in 2004, then a state senator, ran for the United States Senate, where he faced a primary dominated by some of the Democratic Party's most powerful political families.

In this 2004 race, Obama had the support of influential black business leaders, some of whom had closer ties to his wife than they did to him. According to Newsweek, a former boss of Michelle Obama's, a powerful black woman Valerie Jarrett, chair of the Chicago Stock Exchange, served as finance chair of Barack Obama's U.S. Senate campaign.

* MICHELLE OBAMA: THE MOM & WIFE
After Barack was elected to the U.S. Senate, Barack and Michelle choose to keep their children in Chicago, where Michelle continued her career as well. "We made a good decision to stay in Chicago so that has kept our family stable," Michelle Obama told the Chicago Tribune. Every Sunday the family attends services at the Trinity United Church of Christ.

According to reports, Michelle has mastered being a mother, career woman and the wife of a politician. When Newsweek magazine trailed her in 2004, the reporter could not help but notice a to-do list for her two daughters Malia and Natasha that included time for "play." She is in bed most nights by 9:30 and rises each morning at 4:30 to run on a treadmill. This level of discipline and organization helps her manage her public and private pressures with poise. In New Yorker magazine Michelle noted that the life of a political wife is "hard and that's why Barack is such a grateful man."

But there's more to it. "Barack didn't pledge riches" Michelle explains to Newsweek. "Only a life that would be interesting. On that promise he's delivered."

One Single Day Left before the Presidential Elections

Monday, November 3, 2008

1 Day until the Presidential Election - November 4, 2008
79 Days until Inauguration Day - January 20, 2009

With just one single day to go before the next President of the United States is elected, the candidates are going full steam in attempt to win over as many voters as possible Still, the polls show that Barack Obama is way ahead in the race, concerning the electoral vote pre-counts. Of course the real electoral votes for this election will be tallied by tomorrow evening, and then we will know who will be inaugurated as the 44th President of the United States On January 20, 2009.
Neither candidate is giving up without a fight, although it is agreed by most people that John McCain is fighing an uphill battle to gain votes. As previously reported in the last article, Barack Obama made extensive efforts to get new voters to sign up to vote and it looks like it is paying off. So far up to this date, there has been at least 20 million people that voted prior to election day. That is a staggering number of people, and the majority has already been determined as Democrat. If that is true and the trend of expected voters and electoral votes keeps on the path of Barack Obama, he should win the election with an unprecedented victory over John McCain. Of course, the polls prior to the actual general election on November 4th are just predicted vote tallies, and factors that can be unannounced to us now may become factors that would ultimately sway the outcome of the race.
Still there is one more day of hard campaigning by both contenders. Barack Obama will spend his very last day of his 22 month presidential campaign beginning in Jacksonville, Florida and an event in Charlotte, North Carolina. The finale will be the end of the trail on election night in a special event in Manassas, Virginia.
A few states that normally go to the Republicans like Florida and North Carolina, as voters leaning towards supporting Barack Obama this year.
Also on the trail, Michelle Obama and Joe Biden are campaigning on the very last day before the election. Michelle meets with voters in Nevada and
Colorado, while Joe Biden campaigns in Missouri, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Day One - The 2008 Democratic National Convention 8-25-2008

Monday, August 25, 2008

Michelle Obama - The name and the highlight of Day One of the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver Colorado. Wow. No other word can express her speech at this event that commenced less than 1 hour ago than that simple 3 letter word. She in her own right outwardly explained to the nation Barack Obama's thirst to help people and the events in their lives that they both took to make their thirst for change a reality. Now, through the grace of God, they may be given the opportunity together to lead this country through change. Another speaker, Senator Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts who is fighting for his own life with brain cancer, could not be kept away, introduced by Carolyn Kennedy and drew the first tears from the spectators who listened to his speech very intently. Before the night ended, just when you thought no more tears could be shed, Michelle Obama appeared, and while giving her speech, the tears roled out again, and again. Day One at the 2008 Democratic Convention came to an end with the daughters of Michelle and Barack as they appeared on stage, and just as you thought the event was finished, the man himself, Barack appeared on the big screen on live satellite from Kansas City watching the festivities. He was cheered by the crowd and spoke to his wife and daughters in a very touching moment at the convention. Day two of the Denver Convention will be the arrival of Senator Hillary Clinton as she will speak and try to unite her supporters together to support the Democatic nominee for President, Barack Obama.
