Day One - The 2008 Democratic National Convention 8-25-2008

Michelle Obama - The name and the highlight of Day One of the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver Colorado. Wow. No other word can express her speech at this event that commenced less than 1 hour ago than that simple 3 letter word. She in her own right outwardly explained to the nation Barack Obama's thirst to help people and the events in their lives that they both took to make their thirst for change a reality. Now, through the grace of God, they may be given the opportunity together to lead this country through change. Another speaker, Senator Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts who is fighting for his own life with brain cancer, could not be kept away, introduced by Carolyn Kennedy and drew the first tears from the spectators who listened to his speech very intently. Before the night ended, just when you thought no more tears could be shed, Michelle Obama appeared, and while giving her speech, the tears roled out again, and again. Day One at the 2008 Democratic Convention came to an end with the daughters of Michelle and Barack as they appeared on stage, and just as you thought the event was finished, the man himself, Barack appeared on the big screen on live satellite from Kansas City watching the festivities. He was cheered by the crowd and spoke to his wife and daughters in a very touching moment at the convention. Day two of the Denver Convention will be the arrival of Senator Hillary Clinton as she will speak and try to unite her supporters together to support the Democatic nominee for President, Barack Obama.
