Romney to Announce his Candidacy - Palin May Announce Too

Friday, May 27, 2011

Mitt Romney
In the last article, I said that some flip-flop stories about Romney may just be enough to scare him from the race. But now a spokesperson for Romney claims that he will jump into the race next Thursday, on June 2nd, 2011. To many and even myself, it is not shocking news that former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney will announce his candidacy next week in New Hampshire. For others, including myself again, it is shocking news. Why? Because if he does, I believe that the weakened Republicans, the so-called scared Republicans, and those whom despise Newt Gingrich, will flock to him. If he enters the race, then there truly will be no race. Of course, there will be one on paper, and one you hear about every day in the news, with other candidates that already proclaimed their candidacy, and some who have yet to announce. But Mitt Romney's announcement most definitely will make other possible candidates who haven't stepped into the ring yet from doing so. It almost could be like a scare tactic. Why would you want to fight your way to the top against this man. He has already acclaimed the largest war chest, as he has all the money he needs to keep him going with strong, intimidating ads throughout the race. His opponents, Pawlenty, Gingrich, Paul, Palin, Bachmann, Huntsman, and Cain all combined may not ever have the ability nor acquire the monetary support that would compare to Romney.
But do the Republicans really intend to back him? I guess only time will tell, as stories have already been floating out that he has flip-flopped on a few issues, and putting claims on past issues from 2008 that he seemed to be totally against then, but now claims that they were his idea. Why is he doing that? I guess mainly because the Republicans still do not have any real platform to run on, other than their conservative principles, and against President Obama, that will not be enough. Will he support the Ryan Medicare Plan that flopped just yesterday in the Senate, that has no chance of becoming law the way that it stands.
The bottom line here is that Romney may be the only real candidate now to run against Obama next year. It is unfortunate that the party had 3 years after the last election to try and get their house in order and come out with a candidate early. It is extremely important that the republicans come out and support their candidate early, but instead the party is in disarray. Expect two more ladies to jump into the race too. Sarah Palin is throwing out hints, and Michelle Bachmann will jump in by next month, or so she says. It appears as if the Republican party is their own worst enemy. Every Conservative candidate wants 'change', but what you are about to see now is the same old primary stuff. You will see town hall meetings, and shows on TV, as these candidates will pick each other apart. What they will do is pick their own party apart. They all believe the same conservative principles. It will be cut-throat time. The candidate that stays with the issues instead of attacking their fellow candidate most likely will win the Republican nomination. But even that will not be enough if the party can't get behind a forum that the Republican constituency will support.

Who Will Run Against Barack Obama from the GOP in 2012? Are Jobs Still a Major Factor for the Elections?

Wednesday, April 27, 2011

It will take several months for the Republicans, including Donald Trump, to finally realize that the long form birth certificate provided by the State of Hawaii is actually valid. The birth certificate issue will undoubtedly make major headlines in newspapers and stories on conservative  radio and TV stations.  The discovery will  give talk show hosts like Rush Limbaugh something to talk about. It's another distraction.  In the mean time, valuable time will be taken off of the clock, time that they desperately need to actually bring up a valid case for a contender to actually run against President Barack Obama.
What is now interesting here is to find out what will be the next major story presented by the GOP or Donald Trump for that matter. Will it be substantive enough to become a major story that can effect President Obama's re-election. Everyone knows that President Barack Obama is running for re-election, but with just 17 months to go, we still do not have a clue who the Republican contender is for President.
According the the Economic Policy Journal, Mike Huckabee is now tied with Donald Trump as the front-runner for the GOP for President in 2012. This news is according to a CNN/Opinion Research survey.
Besides taking credit for the stories about the presidents birth certificate, what else is he talking about that may be good news for a change, something that could give Americans more hope.
Well for starters, Donald Trump is now claiming that China is "looking to strip us of everything". He is not even a presidential contender yet, but in an interview, Trump rimmed China, and OPEC, along with President Obama's Middle East policies and allot more. He openly speaks about Obama-care, oil prices, the banks, the weak dollar and American diplomats. He doesn't like the idea of the U.S. spending money in foreign countries like China and believes that we should be rebuilding here in the United States. He has proposed a tax of somewhere between 20-25% on imports from China. Wow...   Is that a little drastic or what. Everyone knows that the cost of goods these days are high, but importing goods does help spur the U.S. economy, as people like to buy goods for a lower price, mainly because they can't afford to buy stickily U.S. products that cost so much more, thanks to the de-value of the U.S. dollar.  So his answer is to make it not reasonable because of import taxes he would like to impose, for people to buy imported goods from China. So what would this really do to the economy. First and foremost, it would cause U.S. prices to rise up higher than people could afford, and ultimately would cause people to save their money instead of spending it. Purchasing power of the people would drop, and the U.S. Dollar would continue to drop. Eliminating imports from major  economic countries like China and Japan is not the answer. What Donald Trump doesn't seem to understand as a business mogul that he turned out to be, is that this country needs both, to be able to import and to export goods. This is how job creation becomes a certainty. It is true that importing goods instead of creating them locally in this country may not contribute to a faster growth of the job market, but it will spur the economy in a faster fashion, and would further push people into spending money that would in turn bring up the economy. This should be a lesson that Donald Trump has learned, as stated earlier as he is a successful business mogul. Unfortunately his rules do not apply when it comes to running a government. The U.S. government was never ran and will never be run like a Donald Trump business.  This  is more reason why the GOP needs to not support Donald Trump as their candidate, and more reason that they need to get a valid contender, not Mike Huckabee or Sarah Palin, or Newt Gingrich. Maybe their only chance would be Mitt Romney, but it is still uncertain if he plans to run.

Donald Trump states that Ron Paul is not Electable

Saturday, February 12, 2011

Opinion of 'James'.. Editor of  'Obama in the White House'  Blog

Just because someone makes an opinion about something doesn't make it right. For example, there has been allot of news lately about Donald Trump, as he has been in the news and talk being that he may run for President against Barack Obama. That in itself is not opinion, Mr. Trump has stated publicly that he will make a decision soon. But Donald Trump is already making decisions for example, that another Republican named Ron Paul "has zero chance of being elected" president. In the past, when I originally heard that Donald Trump may be running for President, I made my own opinion, stating that if he ran, that it wouldn't make a difference regardless of how much money he has, he would not ever get elected. That was my opinion, and I guess that Donald Trump has his. The only difference is that he now is already polorizing Republicans against him. Which Republicans? Republicans that support Ron Paul. Maybe he doesn't take in consideration what happened in the straw poll taken during the CPAC conference today, but again Mr. Donald Trump shows his arrogance. He actually thinks that he himself is better than Ron Paul. Now granted, I'm not a supporter of Ron Paul, as I support the Democratic Party, but I find it kind of funny, as did Rand Paul, a Kentucky Senator and son of Ron Paul, that Mr. Donald Trump would have the audacity in such an early stage to make such a comment, especially if he did plan to run. This comment by Donald Trump is surely a sign of ignorance of political savvy, and by that comment alone, should be told that he should not run. After all, political candidates need to be held responsible for their actions and their comments.
Here you have a successful businessman named Donald Trump, thinking that he is better than Ron Paul, and most likely thinks he is better than any other Senator, or Attorney, and wants to be President of the United States? One thing this guy is not short of is an ego. Wow.. Somebody needs to wake that guy up!!  Take it for what it is worth.. My opinion is that Sarah Palin has a better shot to becoming president than Donald Trump. Maybe we will just take a poll on our own to find out. Watch for it shortly....
