Obama's ratings are falling. People in fear of more lost jobs and government spending

Tuesday, August 24, 2010

The jobs issue appears to be a very major issue now for the voters. Most Americans now seem to disapprove of President Obama as high unemployment and very high government spending seem to be on the rise these days. Almost 75% of the people polled are very concerned about joblessness and almost as much are concerned about the high government spending these days. The presidents popularity seems to be dwindling because people seem to be giving up hope on his ability to turn around the economy. Another bad indicator for the economy for President Obama is the fact that the National Association of Realtors now reports that sales of existing home have plunged in July and now at thier slowest pace in 15 years. More and more people are loosing their homes, and there seems to be a lack in a number for people who are still qualified to purchase a home. It is not easy to secure a loan these days, even with mediocre credit. Most lending institutions are weary of giving out loans to people unless they are almost certain that the borrower can repay.
The presidents approval rating has now dropped to 45% compared to the same time last month when it was at 48%. More than half of the people now seem that the country is going in the wrong direction. But it is a proven fact that the massive 2009 stimulus package did help keep the economy afloat. This would have never happened if the government didn't take the route that it did, and President Obama was very instrumental in getting the package passed. But now people seem to be loosing hope as they seem to be tired of waiting for a turn around in the economy and jobs.
The stock market today took another plunge when it dropped over 100 points.
Still, President Obama is promoting his policies and he is hopeful that the Democrats can keep control of the House and the Senate. His future in policy making and his re-election run very high on the ability to keep Democrats in control of the Congress.

President Obama continues to fight for his Health Care Program

Monday, July 20, 2009

President Obama is having his toughest test yet as president who will fight to get his health care program approved. But Obama is now facing Democratic and Republican critics alike. Obama does not plan to back down, and now is planing another speech to the country to promote his health care program. He feels that the timetable needed for passage is very tight, but the legislation he is trying to pass is going under extreme criticism by many politicians. Meanwhile, President Obama's approval rating on how he is handling the economy and health care is dwindling. Obama does to seem moved about his approval ratings on a downward turn. He claims "We can't afford the politics of delay and defeat when it comes to health care," and also says "There are too many lives and livelihoods at stake." He also claims,"This isn't about me. This isn't about politics. It is about a health care system that is breaking American families."
Now he has a big heart, no doubt. Many are now questioning his ablity to get the issue resolved in the way he claims will work. The economy is still in an economic downturn, but there are signs that the economy may bounce back, but at what cost. What is known is that the cost will be higher than ever thought by any government official, including the President of the United States. Details as to the scope on health care and the economy will continue to come in, and will be reported as they happen right here on this website.

For Barack, Work Begins Tomorrow

Monday, January 19, 2009

The work begins tomorrow for Barack Obama and his transition team. You would think all that might be going on tomorrow is the swearing-in ceremony and the inaugural balls.
Well, there are several people close to Barack Obama that will not be attending those balls. So what have they done to upset him not to be invited to the balls?
During the course of the celebrations, Barack Obama's transition team will travel to the White House, enter the property and take up shop to begin working on the issues that Barack Obama will be tackling as soon as he becomes the 44th President of the United States.
In recent recollection, I don't believe there was another President in modern times that has the resolve to tackle ALL the issues of this country with full force from day one. Barack Obama has the perfect demeanor to become the commander and chief and the leader of the free world.
Conservatives and even liberals are anxiously awaiting to see what steps our new President takes, and he will be highly criticized on everything he does, more so than past Presidents, because of promises that he has made during his campaign for the last 2 years. The first "100 days" will be critical, as is for most Presidents, but Barack's first 100 should prove to be very successful.
He has gained an enormous popularity by the people, as now 84% of Americans approve of how he has been handling the transition. I'm not sure that even Reagan or even Kennedy had those numbers at the time of their inauguration. His approval rating will now even go up, depending what he gets accomplished, or go down because of criticism of people who disapprove on how he handles the issues. One thing is for sure. Everyone has to stand by now and watch this new President work, as he has at least a minimum of 4 years on this job, and maybe 8 if he does very well. He worked so very hard to get where he is today, and it looks as if America has found the next 'communicator' of Presidents.

Barack Obama - with one of the BEST approval ratings ever for a President-Elect

Tuesday, December 9, 2008

More polls.. polls.. polls.. But I guess that most every poll you see is in Barack Obama's favor. But you can bet that he has allot to do with it. Just recently, it was reported that Barack Obama appears to be doing a terrific job when it comes to the transition. He is up on President Bush by at least 50 points. He has an approval rating of 79 percent, which according to a report on CNN, those kind of numbers you only see "when the public rallies around a leader after a national disaster,"according to Bill Schneider, CNN's senior political analysis."To many Americans, the Bush administration was a national disaster." All you have to do is look how he handled 3 American disasters. The first, 911, he did handle that the best he could, according to just a few people who just don't realize what he could have done but didn't, and Americans rallied around him. Even though you get the idea that his administration could have helped prevent it, 911 was something that happened that was so unbelievable, that the President could have said anything, promised anything, the American people wanted to rally with him. But that didn't happen during the Natural disaster of Hurricane Katrina. Maybe it was because he could blame it on no terrorist. He could have become a President that people would never forget, but instead, he has become a President that most people want to forget, especially after he handled the New Orleans debacle during hurricane Katrina. President Bush had no problems invading a country on the other side of the world that he claims had nuclear weapons, and he sent brigades of troops in harms way to capture Sudaam Husain, when he lost his target all together by not concentrating on his efforts in Afghanistan where the terrorists are concentrated. The dictator that ruined so many lives still lives somewhere in Afghanistan. But Bush did nothing. During the hurricane, you would think that he would want to help his own citizens on home soil, instead of putting the troops in harms way to fight terrorism in Iraq, and spend so much money in that war. With the money spent on the war, President Bush could have totally rebuilt New Orleans, by building a new home for every man woman and child in New Orleans. Or, he could of at least provided assistance so that the people of the disaster could feel that their government did everything they could possibilly do.Instead, Bush elected to ignore the dying in New Orleans, the sick and homeless in New Orleans and blamed the lack of help during the New Orleans tragedy on FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Association). That agency had the task of working with disaster mitigation, preparedness, response, and finally recovery and planning. Of course, maybe he doesn't realize that it happened to be a Federal Agency, and that it would reflect directly on him how the disaster was handled. Today, parts of New Orleans still look like the day Katrina came ashore. And last, let us not forget that he was at the helm as President for 8 years when the Economic Crisis surfaced. President Bush, with the lowest approval rating in history is the disaster, and should be a President remembered as a 'do nothing President of the American people'. The one thing he was successful in doing regardless of what it actually should be, was to help everyone in the world except the American People.
Enough about President Bush, because actually, he is not even worth the time it takes to write about him on paper. As the saying goes, 'only time will tell'. President-Elect Barack Obama has proved allot and done allot as only a President-Elect, but the real story about him will surface when he is the acting President of the United States as of January 20, 2009. Good old President Bush left mounds and mounds of work for him to do. If Obama plays his cards right, he will become one of the most popular Presidents in American history, even better than Ronald Reagan. Thanks to President Bush, it most likely will be a long long long time that a Republican President holds office.
If Barack Obama can keep his word, and make good on his promises to the American people, if he brings all the troops home and keeps the peace around the world and breaks terrorism, if he puts many, many people back to work and if he turns around the economy, then he will be without a doubt the most famous President of modern times. That's allot of ifs, but I believe he has the strength and courage as our President to get it done
