Should Republicans Worry About Mitt Romney becoming their Candidate for President?

Saturday, February 4, 2012

How does one of the biggest offenders of fairness continue to win states in the primary, even though he is known to be at the top of the list if 1%'ers in the nation. Mitt Romney just recently won all 50 electoral votes in the state of Florida, where the economy is poor, people are out of work,  and foreclosures are extremely high. You wonder what people are thinking. In most cases, people from the middle class in Florida paid more taxes than one of the self professed richest men in the world did. This one person makes so much money and pays so little in tax, it's a wonder that anyone would vote for him. Yes, the one and only, Mitt Romney. Just to give you an idea as to how rich he is, if you take the last 8 Presidents that served this country, and multiplied each salary that they made by two, then added them all together, this is the ballpark of income that Mitt Romney makes. Yes, he makes them on investments from one of his companies called 'Bain Capitol', and his takes in over $57,000 dollars a day and doesn't even work not even one minute for the benefit. This makes him one of the richest men in the world. Bill Gates, another rich man had once stated that if he dropped a $100 bill on the floor, it wouldn't be worth his time picking it up, because the time it would take him to bend down and pick it up, he would have already made $10,000 for just breathing. Yes, these are the facts about the sickly rich. They are so rich, and become so gready as in the case of Mitt Romney, that you wonder how he would feel safe standing in the streets campaigning in front of thousands upon thousands of poor middle class people, the 99%'ers whom allot of them have lost their jobs. And the ones still working hard have to pay taxes way up above what Mitt Romney pays.
Let's make one thing clear here right now. I'm happy for Romney that he is rich. He was raised in a rich family, and never starved a day in his life. But he is the exception. Most people are not like Mitt Romney. He has the nerve to tell people on the campaign trail that he knows what it is like to be poor, and that he was worried in the past about loosing his job. Mr. Mitt Romney never had to work a day in his life for anyone. People worked for him. He acquired companies and made tons of profits on them, then layed off the workers that were left with nothing, and he wants to become the President of the same people that he laid off. Maybe not, as he recently made a statement that he is not concerned in helping the poor, only the middle class. Of course you don't want to forget about the rich, as he wants to continue to lower taxes for the rich, like himself. Mitt Romney paid approximatly 15 % in taxes himself last year, while secretaries of Rich people, namely Warren Buffet paid more money in taxes last year than Mr. Buffet did and most likely many people paid more than Mitt Romney pays. The trend now even for business are that they are paying less and less in taxes on profits earned domestically. The businesses only paid 12.1% in taxes, one of the lowest rates on four decades and it's forcing the budget forecasters to increase their deficit projections for the coming year.
The Republican party seem to be just plain deaf or just plain ignorant of the facts concerning Mitt Romney. Not every Republican is deaf, as I can say that the ones that aren't are worried that Mr. "Mitt the Fat Cat" Romney will win the Republican nomination for President.
Then what!! Does anyone believe that Mitt Romney can actually beat President Barack Obama in the election of 2012 this year? Yes, those same people that voted for him in the primary, so Mitt Romney thinks. When it comes to the general election, people tend to vote from their heart, and not necessarily in their own party. Just because I'm a Democrat doesn't mean that I'll vote Democratic every time. Just to put the record straight here, I actually voted for one of the worst Republican Presidents of all time, Mr. George W. Bush, who held the hand of this country, fooled them into going into two wars as he was President, and continued to lead the country into the devestated economy that existed when he left office. And people blame President Obama for trying to get this country back on it's feet. People like Mitt Romney claims that President Obama is a failure, when the unemployment numbers dropped to 8.2% this month. People like Mitt Romney wanted corporations like GM to go bankrupt and would not give corporations like GM a bailout like President Obama did. So did that really help GM. Yes, it sure did. It kept the workers employed, and now helped the company become one of the largest automotive makers in the world, all within a short time when President Obama has been in office.
So now the main question.... Who is really better for the people, someone who can truly reflect being raised in a middle class family, someone who started from the bottom up and made something of himself. The answer is President Barack Obama, and if the Republicans or ANYONE believes that President Barack Obama will not be re-elected, then they are just plain out-of-touch with reality. If they think that the biggest "flip-flopper" of all time will become President, they are not just out-of-touch with reality, they are just plain ignorant of the facts.
With this said, I'm hoping that Mr. 'out-of-touch' 'Mr. 1%' Romney wins the Republcian nomination, because if I were allowed to vote for him in the primaries, I surely would, because President Barack Obama will whip him in the general election to a higher degree that he trounced Mr. John McCain in 2008. And yes, I am not out of touch with reality nor am I ignorant of the facts like the Republicans.
