President Obama Celebrates 'Cinco de Mayo' holiday

A celebration not celebrated by all Americans, was celebrated by U.S. President Barack Obama. Known as Cinco de Mayo, the president started a day early. 'Cinco de Mayo' means "the Fifth Day of May," which was when the Mexicans celebrated victory over the French forces 147 years abo on May 5, 1862. The interesting thing is, like President Obama, this date is celebrated now by more Mexican Americans than Mexicans in Mexico. Even non-Mexican people celebrate the day.
